Malaysian Lady Of Liberty

If i'm not mistaken, this happened last 2 weeks ago

I don't know why,but that night,it came crossed my mind when i typed at the Youtube's searh engine about BERSIH 2.0.Several lists of videos pop out afterward. Those videos;Truth that Cannot be Covered somehow managed to make me hate to the 'police' more and more, but one sure thing here, they only did their jobs,(sigh~),and the rally never failed to make me shed tears, out of proud to live among citizen that fight for their right, well they only demanded for a clean and fair election(People's power!!!).I wonder if the goverment remembered we live in a country which practices democracy.

I rather wanted to highlight my salutation for those who deserved to be called as 'heroes' in the story. You all are always after my own heart.

Aunty Annie Ooi,65 years old retired English teacher from Setapak is one of them.He took a bus from her hometown to Kuala Lumpur early in the morning of July 9 to join what i rather called as 'the great march of democracy'.On that day,she wore yellow and as we all known that police had warned those who wears yellow that indicates support to the rally would be arrested. In an occasion, the policemen asked her to show her IC and also questioned why she wore yellow, then she asked in return "why can't i wear yellow?".

During the rally, she had been sprayed by the water cannon and tear gassed four times.Without any protection,no goggles,no masks,no salts, she was attacked horribly. Then, someone had offered her salts and that helped a lot.

My point is,even the rally was classified by certain people as an illegal one,but i wondered why so many people, almost 100,000 had showed up everywhere around the city.Frankly speaking,I would like to considered that as the drastic awareness of the people in this country of their right of having free, fair and clean election. My friend, this is democracy.

“Why do we have to feel so scared in our own home land … and by own countrymen,?"
-Aunty Annie Ooi a.k.a Aunty BERSIH a.k.a Malaysian Lady Of Liberty.
